Get to know the photographer

Noticing moments wherever I find myself.
I'm Nico. I'm a 26 year old photographer, and I've been shooting for over 10 years. I picked up my first camera in high school and have always had a natural creative eye. When I work with clients, I work collaboratively to execute both their vision, and my own, reaching for photos that are inimitable, all while prioritizing the comfort of the client.
I live in New England with my husband. Every few years, we find ourselves somewhere new. I don't always know where I'll land next, but I always bring my camera to record the emotional texture of where I am. Some places feel louder than others, but my hope is that some part of what I create will stick with you. Joy, curiosity, ache, or even friction. The goal is to feel, because feeling is human.
I keep finding emotion in places I don't expect.
I hope you do, too.
I grew up in a creative space, and for as long as I can remember I've been creating. My father works in a creative job, and it's shaped the way I see the world; as since I was a child, I've not only been surrounded by creativity and art, but encouraged to create it.
Growing up in a creative space has allowed me to form a creative eye that is always evolving and seeing things others might miss. Also being queer, I think I offer a unique point of view and sense of awareness of the world and politics around me, which impacts both the way I see the world, and the way I use it to create my art.
